Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of Broomfield Residents Directory. By using the pages, you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, please stop using the service.

1. What This Website Is

Broomfield Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical directory collections connected with Broomfield, Colorado. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with the City and County of Broomfield, a Colorado agency, court, library, or other custodian.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use it or information reached through it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person
  • Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act
  • Make an FCRA-regulated decision involving credit, employment, tenant, or insurance matters
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the content at scale
  • Disrupt the site's operation, security, or linked services

3. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 et seq. Material on these pages, and results returned by a linked search tool, are not consumer reports. They may not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other purpose governed by the FCRA.

4. Links to Outside Sites

Government portals, libraries, archives, and third-party services have their own terms, privacy statements, fees, availability, and data practices. Broomfield Residents Directory does not control or guarantee those outside resources, including sponsored search tools.

5. No Warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a statement, link, record description, or search result is accurate, complete, current, available, or fit for a particular purpose. External portals may change or return no result.

6. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of this service or a linked resource, including a decision based on a record found through it.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operators from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that results from your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The original writing, design, logo, and layout belong to the operators or their licensors and are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a brief attributed excerpt is permitted. Full-page republication and systematic copying are not.

9. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised by posting an updated version. Continued use after the new version appears constitutes acceptance of the change.

10. Cutting Off Access

The operators may block or limit access, with or without notice, when a user violates these terms, abuses the service, or threatens its operation or security.

11. Governing Law

Colorado law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Colorado public-records requests are addressed by the Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. 24-72-201 et seq., while privacy rights for covered private controllers arise under the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. 6-1-1301 et seq. Those statutes do not turn this private reference into a custodian or override restrictions on protected records.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page.
